Yiyi English <—- (Click here to Apply) is another company that teaches Chinese children 1 on 1. It looks like they want teachers with a university education and some experience. Non-native English speaking teachers are welcome to apply. Yiyi pays $2.18 per 25 minute class so that is $4.36 to $7.50 USD per hour. They do not pay $15 – $20 USD per hour with bonuses as previously stated.
Please leave us your comments and reviews of Yiyi English… especially if you know how much they pay.

Don't waste your time on this company. Their English teacher rates are ridiculous. It's not even remotely close to 15-20$ per hour as this website said. They pay for 1to1 25 mintues lesson -2.18$ . So after preparing and conducting 100! classes you will end up with just 218 $. It is said if you got lucky and no numerous penalties had been applied on you. Nothing more to add.
Yiyi does not pat $15-$20 an hour.
I just had an interview with them and they actually pay around half this amount.
If you work around 40-60 hours they will pay you about $7.50 an hour
Any teachers that have ever been owed any monies by Yiyi English, please email me at teachersact01@gmail.com. I am putting together a class action. No guarantees, just going to make every effort. Please stand with us if you believe in justice for us digital nomads.
I went to the full process, up to the interview, everything seemed fine, I signed a contract and everything.
They told me I was going to be part of some bootcamp for training, which I thought it was amazing, I only had 1 demo class, with 3 words of feedback, then they scheduled me a class with 4 students, after the class, they never gave me feedback, or answered, finally they ghosted me, without any explanation.
Be careful!
Be careful when working with them, they haven't paid me fully. I decided to quit. I hear many stories of them not paying.
Hi, sorry I would like to now how I can write them because their email is not working, so I passed the first step, when the training, but I haven't got any news from them till now
The con man part makes sense. The process was too odd. More than a year ago I applied to this company. I get a response 2 months later. I had nearly forgotten about them but decide to go through the application process anyway. I'm pretty much all set to start working after the long process but I'm having technical problems with their system. Sean pretending to have a separate technical department has me email "them." ( him). I never got a response. I guess he wasn't in the mood of pretending to be the tech department so he doesn't answer. I email him explaining that they're not answering. He yells in the email that he doesn't understand what the issue is. And that's it! He disappears. I'm completely ghosted. Glad I didn't push since he doesn't pay people.
Sean Lim is a con man whom I had the distinct displeasure of meeting.
Heads up teachers! This company is not a reliable employer. I was really surprised to find out that the whole financial department of the comapany is one man - Sean Lim (Chonghoon Lim), who is also a recruiter. So if you don't get paid - there's no one to complain to. I never got my salary. And they like to pay less - erase classes you held from your timetable. So if you decide to go on and work for them anyway, keep the screenshots of the classes you held as a proof. If they decide to pay you.
For real?
I'm curious if they have a minimum of work hours per week/month. Anyone?
