Wonderkids
Wonderkids Review
WonderKids (out of business) is looking for teachers with at least 1 year of teaching experience (it looks like non-native speakers are welcome to apply) certification is not necessary. Teachers must be 23 years old and training is paid for. However, teachers are required to give homework and give regular feedback. Students and their parents grade the teachers. All of the students are Chinese and between the ages of 5 and 15. They pay $15 USD per hour for individual classes and $20 for group classes, but most classes are 1to1.

They are looking for a College degree and teaching certificate now, and only hiring phonics and science teachers at the moment.

I also worked for Wonderkids English for a year and it was a wonderful experience.I never had payment issues nor was I ever micromanaged.Teachers are respected and supported as much as possible and Dino himself is putting a lot of time and effort into running his business and developing new class materials all the time. The only reason why I left was the workload I had because it took me time to prepare students’ homework.

The application page does not work.

Their staff and management are clueless and the boss Dino takes very little interest in his company.
They don’t pay you what they promise and withhold teachers money for no reason.
There are many more reputable and reliable companies out there to work for.

I worked for Wonderkids and it was fantastic. Who cares about Dino? He is the owner. As a teacher you work mostly with the head teacher, a very accomplished American woman called Baasima. I always got paid right on time. I was treated with respect and everyone was very polite. I worked for Wonderkids for a year and I want to kick myself for leaving. It is a great school. The Chinese assistants are very helpful and friendly and Baasima is always just a message away to help with tips and other information.
