UUABC

UUABC Review

UUABC (website is down) is another company from China. They teach Chinese children between the ages of 5-16. They are looking for native speakers (but apparently not South Africans for some reason) to teach up to 4 students at a time. Minimum requirement is 6 hours per week during peak Beijing time (weekdays 7am-9pm and weekends 5pm-9pm). Classes are 30 minutes long. They pay between $15 and $26 USD (by bank transfer only) per hour depending on experience and on how you do in the trial lesson, they also offer some bonuses for being on time and for attendance. The website is in Chinese but you can email: teacher.fm@uuabc.com.

Please leave us your comments and reviews of UUABC.

  • Dora, the manager, left the company. Teachers teach up to 4 students. They want 6 hours a week (Chinese peak hours), 30-minute classes. I get 19 dollars an hour. They used to pay by paypal and they always paid on time once a month. This month they asked bank details and another company (they call it 'third party' and asked us to sign a contract with them too) will pay us. I have no idea how this will work.

  • Hi there
Please can someone help me - I passed the initial screening with uuABC and they said they’d contact me within 7 days. It’s been about 3 weeks now and I have still not heard back from them. I have emailed all the relevant addresses but still no luck. I would so appreciate some help

  • Hi I'm more than happy to join but the email provided is not working. I'm British school teacher of English, looking for online job.

  • Hello Tim,

I am interested in applying with UUABC, but just tried to email support@uuabc.com and received a mail delivery error message. Would you be able to assist me, please?

I currently hold a TESOL Certificate.

    Thank you!

  • Hello.
I have an interview with UUABC in 2 weeks. I just scheduled it last night and there was nothing earlier. While they gave me plenty of time to learn about them and their company, I am curious to know what is the size of the class? Also, is there a MAXIMUM hours that you need to make available? (I thought that I read something that said maximum of 32 hours.) Would you be asked to be available for BOTH weekend days?

    Thank you
