PK Fish (Wuhao) (website is down) is another new company in China that teaches kids aged 4-12. They want Canadians and Americans with a university degree (or in your last year of university) to teach classes of 1-4 people. The hours of work are from 5:00am to 8:10am (Chicago time). They pay $15-$17 USD per 40 minute class by direct deposit. It appears they are still getting ready to launch but they are building up a roster of teachers, so it is possible that there is no work there yet. Send your resume to recruitment@wuhaotech.com.
Please leave us your comments and reviews of Wuhao.

You want to avoid this company like the plague! There is zero defense for their behaviors towards great teachers! I worked for them for a while and my tongue has scarred from my constant biting of it.
I have seen them falsely accuse a teacher of teaching students about alcohol. I have seen the 'mentor' name Jodi belittle a teacher for no reason other than he was a man.
When this excellent teacher did nothing more than copy and paste her messages to him in the forum, they fired him and cheated him out of his salary. IMO, Jodi is a fat butt ugly post-wall man hating toxic feminist, who also hates women. She hates men because she never got what she wanted out of life from them. She hates women because she can't compete with them. She somehow engineered herself into a position of 'authority' and uses it to harm good teachers.
If you are a cucked male or a toxic woman, this is the place for you. If you have any self respect as a teacher, man or woman, stay well away and tell your friends to, also!
I know this is directed and not a nice message to pen, but considering the behavior of this company towards teachers both men and women, it need to be said loud and clear! Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
I applied with a recurring company which matched me with pkfish ....I recived within minutes an invitation for an interview , also the demo material for the mock class was sent along so I could practice before the interview .
On their application page there was a question ....From what countries can I teach ?
Answer: Our current Internet server supports teachers from the United States, Canada and Mainland China.
Since I’m living in a Central American country at the moment ( I’m a Canadian citizen though) I emailed the recruiter asking if we should go forward with the interview.
It’s been over a week and I haven’t heard from them.
The interesting thing is that they have a teacher/recruiter living in Bosnia ...she has a YouTube video reg the mock class.
Are you currently working for another on-line English language program for Chinese children? I am looking into PKFISH and was interested in your review. However, your description of the hiring process is not much different from some of the other companies.... They all want you to review videos, do mock classes, live interviews etc for which you are not paid. The pay scale seems in line with other companies. What would make me the most interested is if they really have enough students to fill my schedule. That is a challenge at VIPKID.....getting consistently booked.
I had a bad experience with PK Fish. They require applicants to go watch about an hour's worth of training videos before a two hour training (that was only paid for if the applicant was hired), have a classroom board set up, and practice a mock lesson extensively before giving the lesson. They also ask applicants to watch two twenty minute videos of teachings and fill out an extensive form about the teachings before giving their mock lesson.Their online teaching platform, ClassIn, was not connecting to the server for about five hours during the time that I wanted to practice. Despite trying to get in touch with multiple PKFish representatives about the technical problem, I was not given a response until three hours after I responded. I practiced my lesson for about an hour and thirty minutes, had my board set up (and bought about twenty six dollars worth of materials to set it up), and did my best I could do through showing the TPR signals, enthusiasm, and positive reinforcement, and I was not hired. I believe it's because my time went over the limit (although they never told me why I was not hired), and there didn't seem to be much grace to help me grow in that area. I have six years experience teaching English for a private college preparatory school with a well-known, positive reputation in Columbus, Ohio, and although PKFish said in the training that applicants could be great teachers but not right for their company, I am under the impression that they expect near perfection with their online platform before hiring teachers.
I'm pretty disappointed with how much effort I put into this process to only receive a vague rejection e-mail that did not say what I needed to work on to improve my online teaching skills. I hope my experience can help someone know what they are getting into as they consider this online teaching opportunity.
Yes, Jessica, I've read many bad reviews on PK Fish. I have 4 years ESL online teaching and I interviewed with them and I was so turned off by them. I interviewed with them in November 2018 and it was a waste of my time. Horrible organization!
Also, in their defense, PKFish did offer in the rejection e-mail to review the mock teaching with me, but at that point, I didn't want to bother because of the long process that led to nothing.
