I haven't finished training because the trainor is in a rush, impatient & isn't relaxed or easy going. She isn't a flexible person at all. I felt like a poodle jumping threw hoops for her. They don't pay enough to put unnecessary pressure on employees.
I've been with Nil English for about four months now...
I m very pleased...they are helpful and my students and I get along fine
I have been working for NIL English for more than a month now. I looked at several other online teaching companies for English and even interviewed. I am so happy with NIL English though. They offer a lot of support. They are very responsive to questions and answer immediately. The other teachers are friendly and the staff at NIL are welcoming and friendly. It's a nice community. The students are great and they put in the effort. The daily and monthly reports are fairly quick and easy to complete and they also offer lots of teaching resources, which I appreciate.
Could you help me to apply? I have 9 years English teaching experience, a TEFL and TESOL plus a degree in Education. Many thanks.
Maybe you need to fix up your resume. Could give you some tips.
All you need to do is send an email to info@nilenglish.com
Do they request a further video interview after that?
I've been working for NIL English for about six months now- you start off at a base of 1.50/10 minutes, and then as you keep teaching you will periodically get a bonus added on. Communication is great- the managers give you messages from students, and if you have any problems, you can tell them about it. Scheduling can change based on what the students are doing. You usually have the same students for a certain amount of time, so you get to know them. They do ask you to do a lot of extra work that it unpaid, though, like writing class reports and monthly evaluations.
I currently work for NIL English and like stated about the pay is 1.50 per 10 min classes with a 10% bonus fee after the completion of student reviews. I just started working so my schedule isn't full but I do have 2 students. The company is laid back and not a lot of the cheesy BS that comes with teaching for the big Chinese companies. I like that the curriculum for the young students is the weekly reader because it provides a variety of topics. Classes are 10 min( level test), 20 min, 60 min and they are conducted on zoom, skype, or phone class. I so far have a zoom class and a phone class. I have been scheduled level tests and subclasses. I love working for them but wish I had more students. Maybe some will come as time goes on
Here is an update: I currently have almost a full schedule! Great company
Starting from $1.50 per ten minutes and plus 10% bonus but my pay raised to $1.50 per ten minutes plus 50% bonus after working 6 month. I'm getting paid around $12-13 per hour even with ten minutes break every one hour. My friend who work over 1 year with NIL English and she get paid around $15-17 per hour.
Hello! I want to apply but I would like to know if you can make a descent amount per month. I am confused! so you get paid according to a 10 minutes class etc.
Nil English does NOT pay $10 per hour, they pay $1.50 per ten minute block which comes out to be $7.50 per hour because there is normally a 10 minute scheduled break for you to do paperwork which you are given at extra $0.75 per hour, so a maximum of $8.25 per hour.
