LinguaTV Review

LinguaTV is a German company. They provide 1 on 1 and small group classes to adults. Non-natives with a C1 English level are welcome to apply, but teachers need a bachelors degree, TEFL certificate and 1 year of teaching experience. I am not sure how much they pay yet.

    I have applied in November, passed the interview and demo. It seemed amazing!
    Then they stopped responding all of a sudden and they kept telling me that the client is prolonging. Then the pandemic hit and I just gave up all hope.
    They finally contacted me again a month ago and sent me the contract. I was again excited, since I really liked their way of conducting classes.
    After signing the contract, they are again ghosting me for 4 weeks. Highly unprofessional, in my opinion.

      Elena, They did that to me as well!! They even sent me the contract to be signed electronically, I signed it and got the receipt stating it was waiting for them to sign. I never heard another thing from them. Yes, I emailed various contacts at the academy but no one answered the email Maybe the pandemic got in the way but still very unprofessional. It was a pity as I thought at the time they sounded good. Oh well, I moved on to better and more professional companies since then but occasionally I wonder if they are still in business.

    Many European schools have basically been closed during the pandemic, especially the ones that do corporate business classes as businesses are closed. LinguaTV and several other European schools mentioned by goodairlanguage are definitely not hiring at present.
